4 Week "Painting with Acrylics" Course with Lisa Keane

Next Course starts: Monday | January 8th | 6-8pm

Class duration: Two hours

In this 4 week course you will be creating an acrylic street scene of Waterford’s iconic quay. Local artist Lisa Keane will walk you through the process from sketching, colour mixing, application and layout. Perfect for beginners.

Included in this course is the use of our paper, acrylics, brushes and a canvas for your street scene. You are more than welcome to bring in your own paints, brushes and any additional canvases.

“I am a Waterford girl and I love to recreate familiar places around Waterford, places that we take for granted, walk past daily and don't pay much attention to, in a fun, colourful and nostalgic way. We lose that sense of wonder as we grow up, and my own kids made me realise that. They look at the world with such admiration and excitement and they inspired me to look at my surroundings through their eyes, as if you are seeing everything for the first time, and to appreciate the beauty that all around us. I hope my colourful paintings evoke happy memories and newfound admiration for our surroundings that might have been lost at some point.
